We always knew Jess Ennis was a thoroughbred on the athletics track... now she’s set to make her debut on the race track!
Sheffield’s all-conquering heptathlete has become part owner of a racehorse that shares her name.
The two-year-old filly is owned by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and is in training with Michael Bell. She was purchased on behalf of the syndicate for 82,000 guineas and is due to make her debut at Newmarket on Saturday.
Jess said: “I was thrilled when I was invited to become a part owner of a horse named after me. What an honour!”
