SHEFFIELD Eagles boss Mark Aston has paid a special tribute to Peter Green after the forward notched up 100 games for the club.
Green has set the standard for effort in the opening games of the season and had a big game in the nine-try crushing of Swinton Lions.
“I have to single Peter out for special praise; not only has he been outstanding in the first two weeks of the season but at Swinton it was probably the best game he has played for Sheffield Eagles,” said Aston.
“It’s his work ethic and capacity to put in the effort. He’s totally competitive and that’s why he’s played at this level for so long.”
Winger Scott Turner will miss the trip to Workington Town on Sunday after damaging his ankle against Swinton.
