sheffield finally return to competitive action after their winter break this weekend - and in truth, couldn’t ask for an easier game to ease their way back in to league competition.
Sheffield travel to bottom of the league Durham City on Saturday, looking to improve on their current fourth-placed standing.
Sheffield are, however, level on 49 points with Morley in third. Second team Wheatley Hills have 55 points, and leaders Beverley - who have lost just once all season - have 65.
Sheffield go into the game with just two defeats in their last ten, whereas Durham haven’t won a game all season.
Sheffield Tigers, too, return to league action with a home game against third-from-bottom Westoe.
Both sides enter the game in almost equally poor form, but something has to give; Westoe have lost their last four games, and Sheffield have tasted defeat on their last five outings.
Prior to that, however, they had enjoyed five wins on the bounce - and will hope to kick-start another good run on Saturday.
