Sheffield Steelers’ coach Gerad Adams believes he will see improved performances from returning import defencemen Gord Baldwin and Dustin Kohn, next season.
The Canadians were first-year Arena players last season, but will benefit from the knowledge they’ve accrued, says the boss.
“They will be way better. They will hit the ground running. They know me, my style and how the League works.
“Sometimes it takes time to adapt to a new country and a new league” said Adams. “And defencemen can be slow making that transition.
“But these two will be a big asset, and they are the opposite of each other in style which is good. Gord is a big physical d-man wile Dustin is more offensive - one of the best out there. Their experience from last year will be key.”
Adams said goalie Frank Doyle had a fine season in the 2013-14 campaign adding: “I expect him to come back and be better, to be honest. I wanted to sign him while at Cardiff Devils; I have a lot of faith in him.”
n Millionaire Paul Regan, who sold Steelers to Tony Smith, is selling out at Cardiff.
