SHEFFIELD Steelers have been given a licence to thrill this season, according to head coach Ryan Finnerty.
Speaking ahead of their pre-season warm up clash with Coventry Blaze at the Motorpoint Arena tonight, Finnerty said: “The rebuilding work is complete and this new-look side will play in a different style.
“With the new signings we have made, it wouldn’t be right to keep them on the leash; we have to let them go a little more than sides in the past. This team will score goals and will excite us all. It might give me a few heart attacks but I’m confident in it’s ability to get the job done.
“We have enough experience to know when to attack and when to look after our end of the rink.
“We haven’t been on the ice as much as some teams but after this pre-season weekend and another week of training we will be up to speed.”
