SHEFFIELD TIGERS, in need of a confidence booster after some below par results, have players returning to the fold after injury.

Anthony Ross and Nick Pearson are in contention after turning out for the second team last week.

Coach Ben Wade, still smarting after a 19-0 defeat to Birmingham & Solihull knows Saturday’s task against Dudley Kingswinford won’t be easy. “It’s a difficult part of the season at the moment, we are playing teams that are at the wrong end of the table. Every game is a tough one, we are hoping to rectify the errors on Saturday and put in a solid performance against Dudley” he said.

Meanwhile, Doncaster has two teams enjoying the lofty position as league leaders in their divisions.

Phoenix are top of Yorks Div 2 with 14 wins from 16 and host Castleford this Saturday. Amateurs have a 100 per cent success rate from 10 games in Yorks Div 5.

Wheatley Hills, second in North East One should win at Keighley, while Sheffield have a tougher task at Northern.

In Div 1, Dinnington go to Bridlington and Wath are at Pontefract.
