Owls centre half Martin Taylor has joined Brentford on a one-month emergency loan, the clubs confirmed today.
He trained with the Bees today and is in line for a debut at Tranmere on Saturday.
The 33-year-old’s exit left the Owls down to two senior centre halves after Anthony Gardner was ruled out for months with an Achilles tendon injury.
It means Wednesday are almost certainly bringing in another centre back to join Miguel Llera and Kamil Zayatte.
Brentford manager Uwe Rosler said: “It is worthwhile for us to get someone with Martin’s experience on loan and both parties can see where we are after that has finished.”
Bees sporting director Mark Warburton said: “Martin is a vastly experience player and an excellent professional.
“He will have an impact both on and off the pitch. His experience will be a key facet for us.”
