Shiregreen signed off their South Yorkshire Alliance season in good form, with a narrow two-wicket win over Eden Grove/Parklands in a low scoring affair.
The result, aided by Abdul Latif’s 5-36, secured second spot in the Premier Division behind Kilnhurst Colliery, who they beat in the final of the Billy Oates Cup earlier in the year.
Former Shiregreen youngster Danny Suter took 5-50 for Wath as Darfield were bowled out for just 149. That proved more than enough, though, as Wath were bowled out for just 66, youngster Evan Todd returning 5-10 and Mark Roebuck adding 3-14.
In Division One, Telecom could only reach 137 at Shiregreen ground in Division One, as Zeeshan Karamat took 4-43.
The home club were then rushed out for 89, Saaduddin Shaik grabbing 4-14.
