Sorry, fans we got it wrong...

I want to apologise to our fans for our results last week.

Everyone was bitterly disappointed to lose at home for the first time this season. There are no excuses, we weren’t good enough. Redcar are a good side and will up there at the end of the season, but we shouldn’t be losing to anyone the way we did to them.

We really missed (injured) Richard Hall, carrying rider replacement is hard in any team but our side isn’t set up to carry it and we struggled. We’ve got three guys going to away tracks for the first time and they’re going to find it difficult.

Personally, I got my first Owlerton maximum of the season last Thursday and felt good. Everything clicked but then it was the opposite on Friday, I had a horrible night. I struggled mechanically all evening and was chopping and changing to try and get the bike going, but it wasn’t happening. On Sunday I had my first meeting of the season in Poland and the bike gremlins followed me there. I ended on paid 10 but it was tough and we lost, so it’s been a bad week for my teams!

Don’t forget you can follow me on twitter @simon_stead where I’ll keep you updated on my travels through the season. And it’s always nice to hear from you with your comments.
