JOE Haines is delighted to be back at Owlerton for another year after becoming Sheffield’s first signing for 2013.
The British under-21 champion was confirmed as a Tiger for next year after a season of solid improvement and consistent scoring from the reserve berth.
Now the Bolton racer has spoken of his delight at confirming his stay for another season. He said: “I’m really pleased to have signed again, I’m glad that they asked me back! I had a pretty good year and enjoyed racing again, so it’s great that I can continue that next year. Neil (Machin) took a big risk on me last year and I can’t thank him enough for that. The whole set-up at Sheffield is second-to-none and we’ve worked really well together this year.”
Sheffield travel to Hertfordshire tonight to take on Rye House in the Premier Challenge Trophy. A lack of dates means that the Tigers are unable to race their last home fixture - after the original was postponed - and cannot qualify for the next stage.
