FRESH from securing a record breaking fifth British national title, Nick Matthew has switched his attentions away from the court - to planning his wedding!

It was just over two months ago the Sheffield right-hander, ranked number two in the world, got engaged to Esme Taylor, a physiologist with the British Cycling team.

Matthew, who defeated second seed and fellow Yorkshireman James Willstrop in straight games in Manchester on Sunday, said: “There hasn’t been a lot of time to relax since the weekend. My fiancé and I have been really busy planning our summer wedding so I haven’t really had time to chill out and put my feet up!”
