Sheffield Tigers followed up last week’s impressive win at Darlington with a disappointing 32-15 loss at home to Hull.

Tigers didn’t get on the scoreboard until the second half, and their first breakthrough came after 50 minutes - by which time they were already 17-0 down.

A poor clearance kick by Hull only went as far as Peter Swatkins, who raced forty metres to score under the posts, with Tom Outram converting.

Next to score for Tigers was Jamie Broadley, but Tigers often failed to find a way through the Hull defence and, apart from a further Outram penalty, offered no further score.

n Tigers: Cone (Bennett), White, Simmons, Joel, Pearson S (Walker), Argyle, Wragg, Pearson N, Bird (Drage), Outram, Graham, Buchanan (Whitworth), Broadley, Wallace (Parker), Swatkins.

Tigers return to action on Saturday against Hull Ionians.
