Three tiny gymnasts from Sheffield have qualified to represent Yorkshire at the National Level 4 Championship finals in Bracknell on Sunday.
Nine year olds Poppy, Niamh and Jessica competed in the Elite group of gymnasts able to perform the required high level moves at such a young age.
Poppy and Jess excelled on bars taking gold and silver respectively, Niamh collected a silver on beam and a bronze on vault. Their outstanding performances earned Poppy third place overall and Niamh fourth, securing both of them a slot on the four strong Yorkshire team with Jess first reserve.
The girls who all train at Workshop Gymnastics Sheffield are coached by Claire Richardson and Kristie Kotylo who have both worked hard with the talented gymnasts.
Hundreds of gymnasts gathered in Catterick, North Yorkshire for the 2015 Yorkshire Gymnastics Levels competitions where there were many other fantastic achievements by the Workshop squad.
In all an astonishing 12 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze medals were brought back to Sheffield.
Owner and head coach Paula Belton said: “I was so proud of my squad, they all train very hard and deserve to do well. ”
