INTERNATIONAL Showjumping is returning to the City of Sport ... and you could watch the action for free.
The three-day, three star event will be staged at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena at Easter and is set to be a major competition on the equestrian calendar over the next three years.
Supported by Welcome to Yorkshire, the ground-breaking event, from April 22-24, will provide entertainment for the whole family from International Showjumping classes to Young Riders, Puissance and Grand Prix with top riders from this country as well as Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Egypt, Australia and New Zealand, taking part.
And there’s more, lots more as the entertainment includes the Double Harness Scurry, Meddling Fire Glow and Fire Show and Horseball.
The Yorkshire International Showjumping spectacular has been endorsed by world ranking Olympian John Whitaker MBE, who is based near Huddersfield. He said: “I’m really looking forward to being able to compete on my doorstep in front of a home crowd in this exciting new event.”
