Four young dancers from Sheffield will be treading the boards with Northern Ballet Theatre in the production of A Tale of Two Cities at the Lyceum Theatre this week.
Lisa Elston, age 9, Katie Wilson age 8, Martha Clarke age 5 and Tilly Chandley, age 5, are all pupils at the Bailey-Cox Academy in Sheffield and will perform the roles of Young Lucie and Little Lucie.

The ballet, choreographed by Cathy Marston, is an interpretation of Dickens' literary masterpiece and focuses on the relationship between the three central characters, Sydney Carton, Charles Darnay and Lucie Manette, whose lives are inextricably caught up in the French revolution.

Karen Cox, who teaches the young girls at the Bailey-Cox Academy, said:

"We are delighted to have children performing with NBT. The four young girls have attended rehearsals in Leeds and are now eagerly awaiting their opportunity to perform on stage with the company. The experience for the children, and their families, is one they will always remember and treasure."

The ballet is showing at the Lyceum from October 1 - October 4.
