TALENTED young dance stars from Sheffield are set to take to the stage in a ballet production of Sleeping Beauty at York Opera House.
Four South Yorkshire dancers competed against 200 hopefuls from across the region to land parts made available to local children by the English Youth Ballet who are staging the production.

Bailey Cox Academy students Lisa Elston and Jay Olpin, both eight, and Lily Olpin, 14, along with 12-year-old Rachel Brown from the Sylvaine School of Dance, have now started intense rehearsals for the show at a York school.

They will spend 10 days - over weekends and the half term holidays - learning under the expertise and guidance of the directors and star dancers in the show.
