In a new series on the Sheffield Telegraph website Rachael Clegg, who normally writes rock and pop for the paper, hosts known and unknown bands in her own living room.

A new episode of Front Room will be published every Tuesday on the Telegraph website, starting today with Dead Like Harry.

"We have recorded lots of stuff in the past and are proud of everything we have done, but I think this is the first time we got something that actually sounds like all the songs fit together, and I think it's because of these six people," said Matt Taylor when he and the rest of the band where squashed together in Rachael's sofa.

In the interview Matt, Robin Baker, Sam Taylor, Alice Farday, John Redgrave and Adam Crofts revealed that one of band members played his first gig at the age of 13.

Each episode of Front Room will be 15-20 minutes long and include an interview with the band as well as an exclusiv performance. The shows can either be watched online or downloaded to your own computer.

Dead Like Harry performed two of their own songs, Couldn't Love You Any More and Needle.

"Because we couldn't bring the piano we have done a version of Couldn't Love You Any More with the accordion. And another song called Needle," said Sam.

"What's Needle about?" asked Rachael.

"Well, it's... A long walk home... No, you can't know," Sam replied

"Is it knitting, or?" joked Rachael.

"Yeah, yeah. It is it's exactly that." replied Sam before John interrupted.

"It's not knitting and it's not drugs, but it's..."

"Sewing?" Rachael asked again.

"A feeling," said Sam, giggled and tuned the guitar.
