The health benefits of fiber
A slice of brown bread might not be as tasty as your white toast - but it sure is better for you.
"By increasing your fiber it can lower the cholesterol levels, by eating soluble fiber products like oats, lentils, whole grains, and cereals. And by insoluble fibers - your fruits and your vegetables, which can have benefits to your bowel, and your bowel movements," said Hazel Davies, student at Sheffield Hallam University Centre for Food.
Hazel gave her presentation on health benefits of fiber at the Nutrition Fair 2008.
