What does your poo say about you?
Diarrhea or constipation - there might be something missing in your diet.
"I'm trying to make people talk about what they are seeing in the toilet, to try and get their bowel habit healthy," said Samantha Letchen.
At the Sheffield Hallam University Nutrition Fair 2008 Samantha demonstrated what people's poo can say about their diet.

- Dieting - try eating a good hearty meal to stimulaet bowels.
- Lack of fibre
- Lack of fluids
- Stress
- Depression
- Unfamiliar surrondings e.g. holiday
- Lack of privacy when going to the toilet
- Periods - women become constipated towards the end of their menstrual cycle just before a period.
- Pregnancy
How to prevent
- Consider-has anything happend to make you constipated. Constipation can be the body's way of closing up and not wanting to think about things.
- Get our more- relax, this will relax your body and your bowels.
- Eat a regular diet-eating stimulatef the bowels so try not to miss meals.
- Ensyre you eat enough fibre.
- Increase fluid intake
- Excercise regualry
- Sit correctly on hte toilet, feet up, lean forwards.
DiarrhoeaThe main people who get diarrhea are infants, patients with immunodeficency and the eldery.
To help with diarrhoes it may be beneficial to reduce fibre intake.
