Back to the 40s at Kelham

A bit of George Formby didn't go amiss

The clock was turned back to the 1940s at Kelham Island Museum.

Re-enactment groups, vintage stalls and other entertainment were part of a Wartime Weekend, and some visitors did their bit by dressing the part.

Marketing manager Rachel Walker said: “We had about 2,000 visitors over the weekend, which is fantastic. People particularly enjoyed the air raid re-enactments and also the actors and impersonators entertaining the crowds. The Sunday afternoon tea dance lessons were also a big hit.”
