The Tour De France may be over – but Le Tour De Woodseats is set to begin in Sheffield at the weekend.
A two-day festival of fun, activities and fairground rides is set to take place in Woodseats on Saturday and Sunday – with Sunday’s activities including a best-dressed bike competition in honour of the Tour De France.
The festival kicks off on Saturday at 10am with a car boot sale at Woodseats School in Chesterfield Road.
A short story writing class will be held at Woodseats Library from 1.30pm, before songs put on by Woodseats Musical Theatre Company at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Holmhirst Road.
On Sunday, a car boot sale will be held at Abbey Lane Primary School from 9am to 1pm, followed by a craft fait at Woodseats School from noon.
The main event is on Sunday, from noon, in Woodseats School, with singers, dancers and musicians performing alongside two school choirs.
There will also be fairground rides, market stalls, community groups, circus skills, sports and more.
A parade will be held before a competition with a ‘Tour De Woodseats’ theme, with prizes for the best dressed bikes.
