Yorkshire rockers Embrace are heading out on tour – including a date in Sheffield.

The quintet, from Brighouse, West Yorkshire, have announced a 13-date winter tour, which includes a show at the O2 Academy, on Arundel Gate in the city centre, on Saturday, December 6.

The band – singer Danny McNamara, his brother Richard on guitar, bassist Steve Firth, Mickey Dale on keyboards and drummer Mike Heaton – are behind hit singles such as Come Back to What You Know, Nature’s Law and England’s 2006 football World Cup song, World At Your Feet.

They released their first album, entitled Embrace, in eight years in April, reaching number five in the charts.

n Tickets for the gig are on sale on Friday – see www.embrace.co.uk
