Pupils from a north Derbyshire secondary enjoyed an exciting week of action designed to introduce them to a wide range of new activities.
Every year group at Hope Valley College takes part in the event which is designed to diversity the youngsters’ learning and encourages them to gain new skills.
Principal Bernie Hunter said: “Curriculum enrichment week enables students to learn skills that the normal day to day curriculum cannot cater for.
“We place great value on the value it provides as it allows us to enhance our provision of education beyond academic confines for each and every student.
This year’s programme saw Y7 students visit Harry Potter World and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park while Y8 students visited Rother Valley Country Park to experience a variety of water sports.
Y9 pupils took part in a camp on Tideswell Moor while others went on an annual residential visit to Arcachon.
