Young performers in Sheffield are all ready to take their latest production to The Crucible stage next month.

Chitty, presented by the June D Gill School of Theatre Dance, will bring a mix of singing, acting and dancing to the stage inspired by the music of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on June 27 and 28 with a matinée on the Saturday.

June’s dance school, based on Caxton Road, Broomhill, has been established in the area for more than 45 years.

Students at the school, ranging in age from three to over 18, have already spent months rehearsing for the show, with Me Ol’ Bamboo proving to be a challenging and exciting dance routine.

Tickets for Chitty are available from the Sheffield Theatres box office by calling 0114 249 6000. Alternatively, you can buy tickets from the website at www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk.
