IF TV comedy superstar Miranda Hart is your cup of tea, you’re laughing – we’ve got 10 tickets to be won to see her live stand-up show at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena, writes Graham Walker.
The iconic star of TV’s Miranda and BBC drama Call The Midwife will take her humour on the road next year.
My, What I Call, Live Show is heading to the city on Sunday, April 6, 2014 –and it is a historic double first.
Not only will it be Miranda’s first appearance there, but she will also be the first female comedian ever to perform at the Attercliffe venue.
Miranda Katharine Hart Dyke, as she was born 40 years ago, has also appeared in BBC TV series French and Saunders, Hyperdrive and her semi-autobiographical BBC Radio 2 sitcom, Miranda Hart’s Joke Shop,
The award-winning ‘Queen of Comedy’ is also well known as TV midwife Camilla ‘Chummy’ Fortescue-Cholmondeley-Browne.
However, Miranda is going back to her roots to do stand-up on her own laugh-out-loud tour,
Simon Bailey, Arena marketing manager, said: “In our 22 years of hosting thousands of events, this is the first female comedian to play here.
“Our first ever comedy show here at the Arena was Eddie Izzard in 2003, since that sell-out show comedy has become the new rock n roll, regularly selling out multiple nights in the 12,000-seater arena”.
Guarantee your seats at £27.50 each, up to family tickets at £82, booking fee may apply.
