X Factor star Lucy Spraggan wowed crowds at Mosborough Music Festival in front of hundreds of her hometown fans.
Crowds packed a field off Westgate Crescent, Mosborough, for the day of live music including bands Missing Andy, Jungle Lion and The Sherlocks.
Sheffield-born Spraggan, who made her name on the ITV talent show in 2012, played hits like Lighthouse well as new songs Papercuts and Give Me Sunshine.
She said: “It’s great to come back and play in Sheffield for the people who helped me starting out. I’m very thankful for the support that I’ve got.
“I’m playing some new songs that I’ve never played live before, potentially for the new album. What better place to try them out?
“The sound is developed a little bit more. It takes a few different elements of different genres, with a bit more experience - I wrote most of the first album when I was 15.”
The festival has been held in Mosborough for the past four years and has already raised more than £25,000 for charity. This year it will donate money to Sheffield-based St Luke’s Hospice.
Halway resident Vanessa Spence, aged 30, said: “A lot of events are in Sheffield centre so it’s nice to get something local.
“We love Lucy, but there’s lots of excellent music.”
