1. Yorkshire in Yellow

As Yorkshire counts down to the Grand Départ of the Tour de France this summer, the Millennium Gallery is set to debut a major new display inspired by the Tour’s most iconic symbol. Part of the official Yorkshire Festival 2014, Yorkshire in Yellow showcases some of the region’s top creative talent joining a host of internationally-renowned designers to celebrate the ‘Maillot Jaune’, the Tour’s yellow jersey. 2. Wu Chi-Tsung’s Dust

Last chance to catch Taiwanese artist Wu Chi-Tsun’s interactive exhibition Dust. Inviting audiences to witness a shifting cityscape, filling the space with moving light and shadow. Free. Tel: 0114 2812077

3. Devonshire Market

Devonshire Green, Sheffield City Centre, Saturday May 31, 11am-6pm

Inspired by Portabello Road, Devonshire Market has a different vibe unlike any other in the north. Sip a cocktail, find a bargain and fill your tummy with fabulous foodie treats. The market is a cool mix of talented designers, makers and creators. There’s a range of stalls stocking vintage, reworked fashion, handmade arts and crafts, jewellery, antiques, records, farm produce, street food, and lots more. 4. Live at Leopold

Leopold Square continue with their summer programme of live music, dance and entertainment, taking place through to September. 
This week, Sheffield’s King of Swing John Naylor brings his guitar-led swing band and Northern charm back to the square.

8. Enchanted Fairy Forest

Tropical Butterfly House, Sheffield, running until Monday June 2, 10am – 5.30pm

The Tropical Butterfly House offer a day out at the zoo with a difference as they host their popular annual event. The centre’s woods will become home to fairy villages and tiny pixie dwellings, with special guided tours throughout the day for guests to explore a magical world where fairies, gnomes and other magical creatures, including a new attraction for this year, a seven-feet tall dragon, can be spotted among the trees and flowers. The centre’s standard Animal Encounters will also available providing the opportunity to meet birds of prey, meerkats, parrots, reptiles, insects and more at close quarters. A Sheffield Theatres Production, Jonathan Humphreys (Happy Days, The Village Bike) returns to Sheffield to direct this hilarious farce on the Crucible stage. When Bernard’s air hostess fiancée turns up at his apartment on an unscheduled stopover, he’s delighted to see her. The problem is, his other two girlfriends have had the same idea. 10. Garden Up

Sheffield’s Premier Flower and Garden Show will take place this summer at The Botanical Gardens in Sheffield.
