After a hugely successful inaugural tour last year, the four-strong, all-male HandleBards company are back on their bikes with their unique take on Shakespeare.

On just four bicycles they carry all the necessary set, props, costumes and camping equipment to perform two of Shakespeare’s greatest plays – Macbeth and The Comedy Of Errors.

The HandleBards do Shakespeare differently, using their bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on stage, while playing all the parts in the plays between them.

They invite their audiences to grab a picnic and watch their shows outdoors.

The HandleBards are performing The Comedy of Errors at South Street amphitheatre, just above Sheffield railway station, at 5pm on Sunday. Then they are off to Recycle Bikes on Thirlwell Road to perform Macbeth at 7pm on Monday. It’s free with a collection.
