An artist whose sight was saved at a South Yorkshire hospital thanked medics in signature style – by presenting them with a new work.
Lucy Conlon, aged 36, was admitted to Rotherham Hospital’s opthalmology service after experiencing problems with her sight.
Experts at the unit quickly diagnosed her with the serious infection acanthamoeba keratitis, but she has made a full recovery after treatment.
To show her appreciation, Lucy, from Bramley, has donated a pencil drawing of an eye which is now on display in the department.
She is pictured above with staff nurse Nicolla Jameson and Dr Ewa Migdal.
