Family, friends and colleagues of a Sheffield florist have done a blooming marvellous job posing for Calendar Girls style photoshoot.

Sarah Adshead, owner of Sarah’s Florist on Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, has once again produced a naked charity calendar – after the success of two previous years.

Sarah Florist Charity Calendar is now flying off the shelves, with money going to Rotherham-based Rain Rescue and Amy’s Retreat, in Handsworth.

Animal charity Rain Rescue finds new homes for abused, neglected and stray dogs and cats in South Yorkshire.

Sarah decided she wanted to support the rescue centre after she adopted her terrier Brock and Jack Russell Billy from there.

The pair also star in the photos – all caught on camera by professional photographer Shelley Richmond.

Sarah, aged 37, who lives near Penistone, recruited family, friends and colleagues – including a couple of her delivery drivers – to take part.

She said: “A lot of people who are in it have taken part of a couple of years, so they whip their clothes off now!

“They know what to do. We have a giggle as we’re doing them.

“What is different this year is that each is we have managed to get sponsors for each page.

“In previous years some of the money raised had to cover costs before we started making money for the charities.

“But this year are costs are already covered so more is going to the charities, which is great.

“We’ve already sold around 150, but we hope to sell about 300 before Christmas.”

Each calendar costs £6, and all proceeds will go to the charities.
