He said: “I was inspired by the dynamic contrasts in darkness and artificial light that brings the City of Steel alive after dark.”

The Sheffield Hallam University photography student won an Amazon voucher and his image will be displayed in a local Miller Homes show home.

Arron, from Sheffield, said: “I was so pleased to hear I had won and that my work has been recognised, reinforcing the studies that I am doing to build my future career.

“I shall use the voucher to extend my lens collection which will give me even more flexibility and creativity in the images I can create.”

Steve McElroy, sales director for Miller Homes Yorkshire, said: “We had some fantastic entries but this one really caught the eye of our judge, professional photographer Shaun Flannery.

“It shows the beauty of Sheffield at night and also great skill in the way Arron has captured the image.”
