Volunteers gear up for Sheffield readathon

Upperthorpe Library in Sheffield is getting set for a non-stop readathon next Wednesday.

Charity Zest is running the event from 10am to 3pm in an effort to get more local families reading and using the library.

Volunteers will read from children’s books without a break for five hours.

There will also be craft activities, some of which will encourage children to think about what services they would like the library to offer in future years.
