Beat the January blues by entering South Yorkshire Colour Dash

Bluebell Wood children’s hospice is urging people to beat Blue Monday by signing up today for its most colourful event of the year.

The Colour Dash at Rother Valley Country Park will see runners pelted in vibrant powder paint as they make their way around a 5km course.

The first race last year raised some £35,000 in sponsorship and the organisers hope to make an even bigger splash this time around on May 2.

Bluebell Wood’s chief executive Claire Rintoul, who will lead 2,500 people over the start line, said: “The community spirit I see every day at the hospice and in our communities is incredible. Without this support we wouldn’t be able to continue to offer our specialist services to children and families.”
