Are you a cook?

Yeah. When I was at school I also worked as a sous chef, so I love cooking! I cook at home every night for me and my girlfriend.

Any cooking tips?

Recipes are just rules, and we all know rules are there to be broken!

What’s your favourite dish?

I love homemade chicken risotto.

And a drink to go with it?

I'm not big on alcohol so fruit flavoured sparkling water is good with just about everything.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

I think Smoke BBQ in city-centre St Paul's Place is very good.

And pub?

The Nursery Tavern on Eccy Road. My social life is still very studenty!

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

I tried lobster when I was little... let's just say I've avoided anything like it since!

And the best?

A burger from the Lone Star in Buxton. It was huge!

Your favourite TV cook?

It has to be Gordon Ramsay – I love Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares!

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

There’s always somewhere interesting and there is a great variety of choice available. It’s a nice treat every now and again to avoid the large chains and try something different.
