Are you a cook?

I love cooking and can usually be found experimenting in the kitchen.

Any cooking tips?

You can’t go wrong with a one-pot dish. Get to know the flavours you like and you’ll soon be making fantastic curries and stews!

What’s your favourite dish?

Fajitas, with lots of guacamole and salsa.

And a drink to go with it?

Samuel Smiths Apricot beer – it’s very refreshing!

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Make No Bones on Chesterfield Road is a fantastic vegan café. They change their menu often and they’ve offered up great dishes like Philly cheesesteak, battered pickles and avocado wings.

And pub?

The Tramshed, also on Chesterfield Road, is a lovely bar with a wonderful selection of craft beers, wines and gins.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

Unfortunately, I’ve had my fair share of boring salads.

And the best?

I’ve been experimenting with seitan and we made some ‘wings’ recently which were so tasty!

Your favourite TV cook?

She’s not a TV cook but my favourite cookery books are by Isa Chandra Moskowitz –

I’ve used a lot of her recipes with amaxing results.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Sheffield has some great offerings and recently developed its own, self-dubbed ‘vegan quarter’. There’s still a long way to go for people with dietary requirements but it’s getting there.
