Michael Lee is a physiotherapist and sports scientist at MiTo Therapy and also a consultant to Leicester City FC. He was formerly a cook at his parents’ takeaway, Canton House. He lives in Dronfield with wife Joyce.

Are you a cook?

Yes! I really enjoy cooking!

Any cooking tips?

Always use fresh ingredients. Better produce should result in better flavours as well as better nutrition.

What’s your favourite dish?

You can’t beat a good piece of steamed fish with freshly cooked vegetables and couscous.

And a drink to go with it?

Freshly squeezed juice of any kind.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Marco @ Milano. The staff are really friendly and the food never disappoints.

And pub?

The Prince of Wales in Ecclesall Road. It has a good friendly environment and isn’t too busy or loud that no one can hold a conversation.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

I won’t name names, but I recently had a really bad Thai meal that made me ill for a couple of days.

And the best?

My parents always cook authentic Chinese food with fresh fish, prawns, sometime lobster and oysters with fresh cooked vegetables and steamed sticky rice. Wonderful!

Your favourite TV cook?

As a scientist, my favourite TV cook has to be Heston Blumenthal.

Your opinion of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

It’s a great place to eat a variety of different foods. In any city, recommendations and good reviews will reveal a great a restaurant.
