Are you a cook?

Not really, but did have aspirations of being one when I was younger, so I can just about look after myself in the kitchen.

Any cooking tips?

Be organised and tidy.

What’s your favourite dish?

Peter’s Cheesy Pasta.

And a drink to go with it?

A nice cold bottle of lager.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

It used to be the Everest Indian at Woodseats, but the food from the new Abdul’s takeaway at the bottom of Ecclesall Road is outstanding.

And pub?

Waggon & Horses at Millhouses or the Beggar & Gentleman in Hoyland.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

A ‘very hot’ curry in an Indian restaurant in Wombwell after I’d asked for it mild! They shall remain anonymous.

And the best?

That’s a close one between a curry from Aagrah in Leopold Square or the Elachi Indian restaurant in Hoyland.

Your favourite TV cook?

Ainsley Harriott.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Very good and improving all the time – Sheffield has become almost cosmopolitan during the past three or four years.
