Suzy Pierce is the new conference co-ordinator ant receptionist at Aizlewood’s Mill workspace – which is running a bake sale for Red Nose Day. She lives with her family in Stannington.

Are you a cook?

I get most meals cooked for me, but I enjoy making cakes.

Any cooking tips?

Practice any recipes before serving them to someone else – especially if it’s a party!

What’s your favourite dish?

A dish from my mum’s home land, Malaysia, koay teow: deep fried rice noodles with meat, fish and vegetables.

And a drink to go with it?

With any Oriental dish I’d have jasmine green tea.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield Area?

My current favourite has to be the newly opened Noodle Doodle, a Chinese and Malaysian restaurant on Trippet Lane. It has all my favourite dishes, a welcoming atmosphere and great value.

And pub?

The Old Horns, The Peacock, Rivelin and Plough all have spectacular views – and do a tasty midweek deal.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

On Glossop Road five years ago. Ten of us had booked, but they had run out of half the options on the menu and portions were very small.

And the best?

Noodle Doodle, but I also had a good experience at Ego, next to the Winter Gardens.

Your favourite TV cook?

Jamie Oliver – his 30 Minute Meals and Money Saving Meals are very useful.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Great variety, especially on London and Ecclesall roads, with lots of independents not just big chains.
