top TV cookery show Ready Steady Cook is set to make its Sheffield debut with a bang when it lands in the city on Bonfire Night as part of its first-ever live tour.
Ready Steady Cook Live! will hit the road in September, travelling the length and breadth of the UK before arriving at Sheffield City Hall on Tuesday, November 5.
The show will be fronted by celebrity chef Lesley Waters, who took part in more than 500 editions of the long-running TV favourite. She now has her own cookery school, is currently appearing on ITV’s This Morning and working on a new book.
The live show will follow the well-known format, with guest chefs working against the clock to prepare a meal – backed up by the classic competing Red Tomato and Green Pepper kitchens. Chefs will work furiously to create delicious dishes from a bag of mystery ingredients, then members of the public will vote for their favourite.
As well as picking up tips from the chefs, and enjoying some insider gossip on making the TV series, there will be a chance for the audience to get involved.
Some will be invited to bring on their own ‘quickie bag’ – which the competing chefs will cook with the help of the host – and others will be able to ask the experts some of their own culinary conundrums.
Tickets for this brand new stage version are now available, priced £25. Details of the celebrity guests will be released later this month.
