A new summer festival of music, arts and food is taking place this summer at Cannon Hall Open Farm at Cawthorne, Barnsley.
Underneath the Stars Festival from July 25-27 is a collaboration between Barnsley folk singer Kate Rusby, her family production team, Pure Records, and the Nicholson family who run the farm.
Rusby herself will headline with Richard Thompson and the line-up will also include The Puppini Sisters, The Treacherous Orchestra, Sarah Jarosz, Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, John Smith, Rachel Sermanni, Dave Burland, Damien O’Kane, Jaywalkers, Moore-Moss-Rutter and Jack Harris.
As well as music there will be family attractions including workshops, crafts, Planetarium dome, storytelling and lots of food and drink.
The event builds on a series of concerts held in previous years at the farm to raise funds for local projects and for the first time will have a purpose built big-top concert marquee and camping facilities. Earlybird weekend tickets are now on sale at £90/ £75 or £245 for families of four via underthestarsfest.co.uk
