Have your say

Australia rock trio Tracer proved why they are billed as the next big thing when they kicked off their El Pistolero UK tour with a sold-out show at The Plug in Sheffield, writes Glenn Ashley.

They didn’t disappoint.

A rowdy and enthusiastic crowd will testify to that. Venues like The Plug is where future rock stars are born.

Front man Michael Brown certainly knows how to get the crowd going along with drummer Dre Wise and new bass player Jett Heysen-Hicks. This is a slick stage show. Stripped back rock at its purist.

Wise and Heysen-Hicks gave the set a solid feel with their pounding beat as Brown lapped up the stage with some great solos that would have not gone amiss with the likes of Page or Blackmore.

Tracer are on the yellow brick road to rock superstardom and it looks like this latest Aussie export won’t fail to make it over the rainbow.
