Mysterious Girl chart topper Peter Andre is full of beans after hitting the right note with his family coffee business.
These days he is making more money at festivals from the mobile coffee units than he ever did from appearing on stage, he revealed in an exclusive chat ahead of his autumn UK tour.
He also told how this latest tour will see him getting into the swing of things with a 10-piece band to help jazz up his greatest hits and classic tunes.
Peter plays Sheffield City Hall on Thursday, October 16.
VIDEO: Watch the official video trailer for the tour and our exclusive video chat with Peter, explaining what fans can expect, filmed backstage at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena during his appearance on the Ant and Dec Takeaway On Tour show.
But there’as also an awful lot of coffee on his mind following the success of New York Coffee Club.
He and his brothers have two shops, one opened in Brighton two years ago, the other is in East Grinstead.
Plans were to open more, as a rival to the likes of Starbucks, with venues earmarked in Sheffield and the rest of the country. But for now it’s all about the mobile units.
Their coffee is also for sale in Tesco and for every a pack sold, 50p is donated to the Peter Andre Foundation, which is supporting Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.
The Foundation was put together after the Andre family lost Pete’s brother, Andrew, to kidney cancer.
Peter said of the coffee business: “What we’ve done is quite amazing. We’ve gone in to festivals now - so mobile units are taking precedence over all our shops. Were doing Hyde Park, we’ve just done Reading Festival and V Festival.
“Who would have thought that I would have been there 10-years ago performing and now I’m there selling coffees. My own brand of coffees.
“And trust me. I get paid more for selling coffees than I did on stage I’m not complaining.”
Peter recently launched Pete’s Champions, an initiative asking his massive fan base to join him in raising money for the Peter Andre Foundation.
Focus is about to shift to his first major UK tour in two years, whiich wil include his first ever performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall,
He promises fans will get all the hits including Mysterious Girl and Behind Closed Doors, plus songs from his previous studio albums Revelation, Accelerate and Angels and Demons.
Peter said:“I cannot wait to get back out on the road again.
“Everyone knows that touring is my absolute favourite thing and I am so lucky that I get to do it all over again in 2014. You guys better get ready because this tour is going to be the best yet.
“You can expect a night of entertainment.
“We have a ten piece band, very different to what we’ve done before. We are talking three piece horn section, backing singers, two guitarists - a great live band, percussion.
“And what we are going to do, a lot of the songs I’ve written, but also classics. We are going to jazz them up a bit, add some blues.
“So on the night you can expect some jazz, blues, swing, soul and rock and roll. You can’t beat that.”
