Obviously, Year 3000, Five Colours In Her Hair and What I Go To School For – put them together and you’ve got McBusted. We’ve got tickets to be won, writes Graham Walker.
That’s the combined bands of McFly and Busted who have formed a new supergroup to fill arenas all over the country.
They are coming to Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena for two dates, the first on Sunday, May 4.
But we’ve got five pairs to be won for their second night, on Monday, May 19.
Following the astonishing success of their brief reunion at the Royal Albert Hall on the occasion of McFly’s 10th anniversary concert, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd announced they were joining forces with James Bourne and Matt Willis to form supergroup McBusted.
Fans wanted the bands to take the Busted/McFly reunion to the next level and now they will, on a full UK arena tour.
There’s also rumours of an album.
They can expect a shamelessly nostalgic set full of favourite Busted and McFly hits, with a few surprise gems in the mix.
Together Busted and McFly have sold 15 million records and chalked up 14 number ones, 20 top three singles and 27 top 10 singles.
The new supergroup came together at London’s Soho Hotel, to make the announcement, which caused the internet explode with excitement as the hastag #mcbusted became the number one worldwide trend on Twitter.
