Bouncing beach balls, an interactive wedding dress and the unique way our brains process information are all on the agenda at a university lecture this weekend.

Dr Iain Garner from the Sheffield Institute of Education will unveil psychological gems like ‘Stroop Tests’ and ‘Binocular Cues’ at Sheffield Hallam University tomorrow.

Organised as part of Sheffield Children’s University, the lecture explores the way our brains process information and through interactive activities discover whether what we perceive is everything it seems.

The lecture will be in Sheffield Hallam University’s Owen Building main reception at 10am.

There will also be a tour of the campus with some of the university’s current students.
