A FEW months after her emotional farewell from the Rover’s Return, Coronation Street star Beverley Callard was casting her spell ov er Sheffield this week.

The actress who played landlady Liz Macdonald in the TV soap for 21 years popped into the Lyceum Theatre for the launch of this year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, in which she plays the Wicked Queen opposite Sid Sloane from CBeebies and Sheffield’s favourite Dame, Damian Williams. She is pictured with Jo Parsons, who plays Prince Charming and Charlotte Robinson as the Princess.

Sleeping Beauty runs from December 9 to January 8.
