THE THE Village Bike, a daring and hilarious play about one couple’s pregnancy, cycles into Sheffield next week and we are gearing up with a fantastic prize.
The Star has teamed up with Sheffield Theatres and partners to give one lucky mother-to-be the chance to relax with tickets to the Crucible Studio show, dinner for two, a mother-to-be Spa Day and a photo shoot.
And if you’re not a mum-to-be we still have tickets to the play to be won.
It celebrates the regional premiere of The Village Bike, in the Studio Theatre from Thursday, September 13 to Saturday, October 6.
Supported by local law firm Hill Dickinson, the play, by Penelope Skinner, is about moving to the countryside, becoming parents and growing up.
Becky is frustrated. She’s pregnant, horny and she’d love a glass of wine, or three. But her husband’s happy reading The New Pregnancy Ideal, so she takes matters into her own hands.
Dr Who’s Amy Cudden leads the company as Becky, and Christopher Harper, of Upstairs Downstairs fame, plays husband John.
Tickets are on sale now from £10 to £18 each, may be subject to a booking fee. Buy in person at Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office, call 0114 249 6000 or visit www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk.
Our first prize is a pair of tickets, programme, interval drink and a two course dinner for two from the pre-theatre dinner menu at Crucible Corner, Sheffield Theatre’s cafe bar in Tudor Square – open all day until late.
It comes with a mother-to-be Spa Day from Spa 1877, worth £130, including an Elemis Nurturing Massage, Elemis Radiance Power Booster Facial, Hot Oil and Milk Pedicure, lunch, use of relaxation lounge, robe and footwear, refreshments and fresh fruit, plus a one hour photo shoot for a pregnancy or newborn portrait, worth £100, including an 8x6ins print from FotoFamilia, a photography company specialising in families.
