Theatregoers set to rock as musical hits the Lyceum

West End sell-out show Dreamboats and Petticoats is returning to Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre.

The 1950s and 60s rock and roll extravaganza will be on stage between February 14 and 18.

A Sheffield Theatres spokesman said: “Featuring some of the greatest hit songs of the rock and roll era, this whirl around the jukebox of one of the most dynamic musical decades continues to delight and entertain audiences.

“In 1961, emotions run high as young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song writing competition and, more importantly, the attentions of the gorgeous Sue.

“However, when Bobby discovers shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock’n’roll fame beckon.”

Classic tracks feature in the show from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran and Billy Fury – including Let’s Dance, Bobby’s Girl, Great Pretender and C’mon Everybody.
