Fairytale classic Alice In Wonderland has been re-written for a special performance at The Lantern Theatre in Sheffield and we have tickets to be won, writes Graham Walker.
Join Alice as she takes you on a rather chaotic journey through Wonderland and meet all the colourful characters along the way. The events that take place seem a little too real to be just a dream, so why is Alice there and what is really going on?
Book your ticket to find out.
It plays three nights, Monday to Wednesday, September 1 to 3, 2014, 7.30pm.
The summer production has been brought by StandBy Method Acting Studio
The Adult Studio cast perform Mon and Tuesday, the Young People’s Studio cast perform Wednesday and Shooting Stars Studio appear in all three performances.
Louise O’Leary, Director and acting coach at StandBy Method Acting Studio, founded the company in 2010.
She said: “I decided that Sheffield needed a studio in which anyone interested in acting or wanting a career in the industry could come along and train professionally in a similiar way to the famous method actors in 1950s America, such as Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando.
“I’ve always been passionate about method acting and theatre/screen acting.
“It has proved to be a success in Sheffield with star of Boardwalk Empire, Stephen Graham lending his support at the StandBy launch party and Sheffield actress Jessica Jane-Stafford popping along for a Q and A session with the students on her own success.”
