The Croods: ‘Pre-hysterical’ caveman fun, say Star families

CAVEMAN caper The Croods is the big new animated blockbuster for Easter and it’s “pre-hysterical” said lucky Star winners who saw it first.

More than 100 winners and guests gave it the thumbs up after a preview screening of the 3D family film at Cineworld Sheffield.

From Dreamworks, the makers of Shrek and Madagascar, it’s an energetic romp about the world’s first family on a quest to find a new home.

Cameron Oliver, aged seven, of Sheffield, said: “It’s a big thumbs -up from me. Brilliant.”

Will Smith, eight, of Barnsley, said: “It’s amazing. Better than Shrek or Madagascar.”

Brother Lewis, 13, added: “It’s a good film, about a caveman family with an over protective dad and a very curious daughter. Excellent.”

Mum Gina Heaton-Smith, 34, said: “It’s the best 3D animated film I’ve seen. A great story with lots of funny moments and I loved the little sloth-like character.

“Definitely a great Easter holiday day out for all the family.”

Little film fan Thomas Keane, four, also Barnsley, said: “It was about cavemen finding caves. It was great.” Dad Chris said: “It was absolutely fab. Ten out of ten.”

Neil Flavell, Cineworld Operations Manager, added: “Everyone I asked leaving the preview said they would recommend it. The 3D was amazing.”
