Prisoner admits sexually assaulting inmate at Doncaster

Christopher Evans, aged 23, was serving time for sexual activity with a girl under 16 when he sexually assaulted an inmate at Doncaster Prison in December 2014.

Evans, formerly of Springwell Road, Leeds, had his sentence extended by two and a half years after pleading guilty to sexual assault during a hearing at Sheffield Crown Court.

He is now serving his sentence at HMP Hull.

Acting Detective Sergeant Alex Dorlin, from the Prison Investigation Team, said: “It takes a lot of courage for someone to report an incident of this nature and I’m pleased that Evans admitted his guilt and has had his jail time extended.”
